The SFL JobHub project has four main components, namely Connect, Growth, JobReady, and MAXA Jerusalem, each designed to address different areas and sectors with the shared goal of generating more and higher-paying jobs for Palestinians in East Jerusalem. Over the next five years, the plan is to create 3,000 jobs in various industries. Under the Connect component, unemployed individuals will be matched with job opportunities in either local or international companies within the private sector. The Growth component provides free business development services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in East Jerusalem, with the aim of helping them to thrive and expand, ultimately leading to the creation of job vacancies in the short and long term. Additionally, the project promotes East Jerusalem as an ideal location for businesses looking to establish operations. The JobReady component offers a range of short courses and workshops aimed at better preparing job seekers for the job market, providing mentoring and coaching to help them secure higher-paying jobs.
